A public URL is the URL link from a photo that is posted on a public site such as Facebook, Photobucket, or a blog. On Pure Charity, you can use a public URL to Share Photos on Your Fundraiser Story. To learn how to assign a URL to a photo, look at the instructions below. 

How to assign a URL to a photo: 

From Facebook: 

1. Click on a photo. 
2. Right-click and select “Copy image URL.” 
3. Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of your Pure Charity Fundraiser page and select “Edit Fundraiser.” 

4.  In the “Your Fundraiser’s Story” section, place the cursor where you want to insert a photo. 

5.  Click on the picture icon under the heading “Your Fundraiser’s Story.” 

6.  Right-click and “paste” the image URL from Facebook in the box and click on the “Save” button.  You should see your photo appear in "Your Fundraiser's Story" if it worked correctly.

Note: Be sure the image size is no larger than 600px, or it may appear too large for the fundraising page. 

From Dropbox:

1. Log in to your Dropbox account.
2. Click Share beside the photo you would like to use.
3. Right-click and select "Copy" on the link provided.
4. Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of your Pure Charity Fundraiser page and select “Edit Fundraiser". 

5.  In the “Your Fundraiser’s Story” section, place the cursor where you want to insert a photo. 

6.  Click on the picture icon under the heading “Your Fundraiser’s Story.” 

7.  Right-click and “paste” the image URL from Dropbox in the box.

8.  MOST IMPORTANT STEP: Replace the "0" at the end of the link with a "1".  Click on the “Save” button.  You should see your photo appear in "Your Fundraiser's Story" if it worked correctly.

Note: Be sure the image size is no larger than 600px, or it may appear too large for the fundraising page. 

From Photobucket: 

1. Log in or sign up for a free account at www.photobucket.com. 
2. After uploading a photo, click on the photo image. 
3. Click on the “Direct” link for the photo at the right, under “Share Links.” 
4. Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of your Pure Charity Fundraiser page and select “Edit Fundraiser.” 

5.  In the “Your Fundraiser’s Story” section, place the cursor where you want to insert a photo. 

6.  Click on the picture icon under the heading “Your Fundraiser’s Story.” 

7.  Right-click and “paste” the image URL from Photobucket in the box and click on the “Save” button.  You should see your photo appear in "Your Fundraiser's Story" if it worked correctly.

To Re-size a Photo for use on a Pure Charity Fundraiser Page: 

From Photobucket: 

1. Log in or sign up for a free account at www.photobucket.com. 
2. After uploading a photo, click on the photo image. 
3. Mouse-over the photo and click on the “Edit” icon in the upper-right corner. 
4. When you see the image in the Editor, click on the “Resize” icon. 
5. Be sure the lock icon in the center above the image is set in the “unlock” position, in order to keep the image proportions while re-sizing. 
6. Set the width to 600 (maximum for your fundraising page). The height should automatically change to keep the image proportions. Click the “Apply” button. 
7. Click the “Save” button. The newly re-sized image will save and re-open automatically in the “Library.” 
8. Click on the “Direct” link for the photo at the right, under “Share Links.”
